TED-Ed è una piattaforma educativa online che consente agli insegnanti di creare lezioni interattive utilizzando video TED Talks e altri contenuti video. Gli utenti possono esplorare una vasta libreria di video educativi su argomenti che spaziano dalla scienza alla storia, dall'arte alla tecnologia. Con TED-Ed, gli insegnanti possono personalizzare le lezioni aggiungendo domande a scelta multipla, domande aperte e discussioni, rendendo l'apprendimento più coinvolgente e interattivo. La piattaforma offre anche funzionalità per creare "Think" (domande di comprensione), "Dig Deeper" (risorse aggiuntive per approfondimenti) e "Discuss" (spazi per discussioni). TED-Ed permette di monitorare i progressi degli studenti e raccogliere feedback. Le lezioni possono essere condivise facilmente con gli studenti tramite link o integrate nelle piattaforme di apprendimento esistenti.

 

TED-Ed is an online educational platform that allows teachers to create interactive lessons using TED Talks and other video content. Users can explore a vast library of educational videos on topics ranging from science to history, from art to technology. With TED-Ed, teachers can customize lessons by adding multiple-choice questions, open-ended questions, and discussion prompts, making learning more engaging and interactive. The platform also offers features to create "Think" (comprehension questions), "Dig Deeper" (additional resources for further exploration), and "Discuss" (discussion spaces). TED-Ed allows monitoring student progress and collecting feedback. Lessons can be easily shared with students via links or integrated into existing learning platforms.

Example usage

Un insegnante di biologia utilizza TED-Ed per una lezione sul cambiamento climatico. Sceglie un video TED Talk sul riscaldamento globale, aggiunge domande a scelta multipla e spazi per discussioni, e invita gli studenti a guardare il video e rispondere alle domande, facilitando una discussione approfondita in classe.

A biology teacher uses TED-Ed for a lesson on climate change. He selects a TED Talk video on global warming, adds multiple-choice questions and discussion prompts, and invites students to watch the video and answer the questions, facilitating an in-depth discussion in class.
